QUANTITY SURVEYING

The Quantity Surveying Section of the National Building Agency offers a high quality range of quantity surveying services including cost and construction management advice and assistance to Clients and to project design teams throughout Ireland.

Our primary objective and responsibility is to serve our Client's best interests in a project development.

The needs and requirements of each client and each project are individually assessed at all stages through project development, and the service offered is appropriate to each situation and task.

Where appropriate, particular attention is paid by the Quantity Surveying Section to the requirements and procedures of the Department of Environment, Local Government and Heritage guidelines.

In addition to the core construction economics and construction management services, we also offer further specialized consultancy services including the preparation of business plans, programming expertise, public consultation, Part V advice and negotiations on behalf of local authorities, and assistance in the preparation of funding applications.

All surveyors employed within the Quantity Surveying Department have a minimum degree qualification with designated project surveyors having post-graduate qualifications, including membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors.

The National Building Agency maintains a policy of regularly updating the information and communication technology available to it's staff so as to best serve the needs of it's Clients.

All members of the NBA surveying team are proficient in the use of appropriate software, including autocad and bill preparation software, in addition to the standard word processing and spreadsheet software.

This continued investment in technology enables the Quantity Surveying Department to maintain an up to date extensive cost data base for a wide range of project types and size in all locations in which we operate.

All procedures of the Quantity Surveying Department are set out in the NBA Quality Management Procedures Manual. Our ISO:9001: 2000 accreditation offers further re-assurance to our Clients of our continued commitment to the provision of a professional and independent service.
